The San Diego Chess Club was founded in 1991 and is one of the largest clubs in the country with about 160 members of all levels. Our club is situated in the beautiful and historical Balboa Park where we hold our weekly Gambito and Wednesday Night tournaments. In addition to our weekly events, we also organize multiple large annual events such as the Dreaming King Open, San Diego Open, SCCF (Southern California Chess Federation) Senior/Junior Open, and the Southern California Open.

We have chess equipment including boards, pieces, bags, clocks, and score pads available for purchase.
